Please join the Manager and Judges in congratulating the winners of the 1999 X-Day Competition! They - and all the contestants - did an EXCELLENT job.

Winners - you may use the following logos on your websites or the pages that house your Art or Fic. You should be contacted within a week (i really HOPE so, but the way things have been going - it may be a little longer) regarding Prize disbursal. Thanks to Dark Claw, Finar and B-Cool we have some excellent prizes to give away this year. and YES they will be mailed. (Dark Claw volunteered for the Job - brave brave man...)

If you want to know how the voting was done this year, read on...

The votes were counted by two impartial observers (Shannon, the X-Day Manager and her friend Brian, who reads no comics and has no interest in them.)
The top five entries in each category were sent to the Judges, who returned their picks (due to some confusion, some returned all five in the order they liked (2), some returned the top three (2) and some returned the best one (1)
Shannon, the X-Day Manager figured out which ones received the First, Second and Third place awards and posted the results.

The delay with posting the votes was due to two reasons :

Some Judges took quite a bit of time to evaluate the entries - the last one was received on Wednesday morning.
Shannon is writing a paper and couldnt get to it till late Wednesday night. (it has only been 10 days since the contest ended. Shannon is sorry for the delay, but just like all the other delays there really wasnt all that much that Shannon could do about it. She really didnt have much help with the editing of the page etc, and she does want to graduate this year. Again, apologies...
