CITRUS COUNTY
Citrus County We Care is a
partnership between the Citrus County Health Department
and local volunteer health care professionals. The
program provides donated health and dental care to the
residents of Citrus County who meet the financial
eligibility criteria, with no health or dental insurance
that covers that particular medical need, and a family
income less than 150% of the federal poverty guidelines.
At the present time, 33 doctors and 2 dentists
participate in the We Care program and have donated over
$75,000 worth of health care services to more than 150
patients. Health care volunteers are needed in all areas
and if you are interested in donating your valuable time
and services, you can contact the Volunteer Coordinator
at (352) 527-0068, ext. 239, Suncom 677-7899, ext. 239.
