NASSAU COUNTY

The Nassau County Health Department continues to augment their services by utilizing physician, dental, nursing, and clerical volunteers.

Some of the ways volunteers can help:

WIC (Women, Infant, and Children) Breastfeeding Peer Counselors

Read to children in waiting rooms

Licensed Health Care Professionals, i.e., Physicians, Registered Nurses, Dentists

Special Events

Clerical Assistants in all Clinics and Programs

Outreach Programs such as Prevention of Tobacco Use by Youth

 

* A dental clinic for qualified adults is opened the third Friday of the month. For appointment information, call the Barnabas Center at (904) 261-7000. For more information, please call the Volunteer Services Office at (904) 277-7287.
