I
really liked teaching a lot, and I am very grateful that Ben hired me. Aside
from my first real job, he gave me an opportunity to apply my degree in a useful
way. I got to teach people of all ages and walks of life and I think it really
honed my skills. As anyone who has ever taught can tell you, teaching is a great
way to force yourself to learn more and more about your subject as well, so I
continued to study voice, and piano privately.
I
also joined the Saskatoon Chamber Singers, which I was in for 7 years. |

SCS
is one of the most professional, and excellent choirs I have ever known. The
choir was also a great social experience and many of my fondest memories of
Saskatoon revolve around my choral friends.
Hoping
to work my love for and knowledge of choral music into my work experience, I
took a job as pianist and choir-director at McClure United Church in Saskatoon. |
