Note: This bio is taken from various sources, and will be updated as I can gather new information.

From TheForce.Net:

"If you watched carefully in Episode I during the pod race, you may have seen a white female alien looking down from the canyon as the pods raced by. This is the bounty hunter Aurra Sing. You can find a picture of her in the Visual Dictionary and the Decipher Young Jedi CCG cards. At the Sci-Fi Expo this past weekend, one of the Decipher reps had some interesting news about this character. They were told that Aurra Sing is "the next Boba Fett". (Yes, that term is thrown around quite a bit by everyone, ourselves included.) By that we mean that the character will be a popular one without much screen time, not actually the character Boba Fett."

If you haven't seen The Phantom Menace yet, take a look at TheForce.Net, as they have updated their report to include a scan of the Decipher Young Jedi CCG Card (re-posted here). This is one woman who definitely looks like she might be able to hold her own against Boba Fett!

This is another update from TheForce.Net:

"Apparently, Aurra Sing was added to the pod race sequence very late in post production of the film, almost at the last minute. Rumor has it that he was planning on having her in Episode II but wanted us to have a glimpse of her now. Everyone is pretty excited about her, and it's possible she's a fairly major character."

Also, as you can see, Aurra will be featured in Star Wars Insider Issue #45. It should be pointed out that this issue will have two covers: Aurra or Jar Jar.

Update: As of August 18, 1999, this issue has not been mailed out to subscribers, but is expected shortly. In addition, according to the Star Wars Fan Club, subscribers *will* receive the Aurra Sing cover.

Aurra will have a one-issue comic book in August 1999 from Dark Horse Comics. Their blurb for the issue is below.

STAR WARS: THE BOUNTY HUNTERS - AURRA SING By Timothy Truman

She moves in silence, chooses her moment, and strikes without mercy. She is Aurra Sing, the most feared bounty hunter that the Republic has ever seen.. Aurra has a talent for being in the right place at the right time, and an appetite for those places in the galaxy where chaos reigns and bounties are plentiful... and challenging. Dark Horse begins an all-new series of one-shots featuring the vilest mercenaries from every era of the Star Wars universe. 32 pages, $2.95, ships on Aug. 11.

A very generous reader I will refer to as Vader sent me additional information about Aurra that appeared in the Episode I CD ROM. I have included this information on a second Aurra Sing page because I feel I have to issue a spoiler warning. This is great stuff, and I give my most deepest thanks to Vader (gosh, did I really say that?? Does this mean I have Imperial tendencies?).

Please see the second Aurra page for an additional biography sent to me by Vader.

Ok... I knew it wouldn't take long. This site has the distinction of being the first that I've seen.

I've found another Aurra Sing site, and to be honest, I was blown away by this one. I urge you to check it out.
