Falynn Sandskimmer Book appearances X-Wing # 5: Wraith Squadron Aaron Allston Affliations Falynn is a original member of the New Republic's Wraith Squadron. A group of commandos also trained to fly x-wing snubfighters founded under the command of Wedge Antilles, Wraith Squadron was recruited from the misfits and washouts of the New Republic military. Special Distinctions A native of Tatooine who grew to resent comparisons to Luke Skywalker on the basis of their shared home planet and piloting skills, Falynn was the transportation/vehicle specialist of Wraith Squadron. In addition to flying X-Wings, Falynn also regularly flew TIE fighters when called for. At a battle over Ession, the fourth planet of the Lucaya system (Corporate Sector), in a risky manuever, she flew a TIE fighter into the hulk of the near destroyed Imperial-class Star Destroyer Implacable. Although the damage she inflicted contributed to the destruction of the ship, she was unable to make her way out safely and died in the battle. Links No known links.
