This is a draft of themed army lists for Skaven, for now you need to look at the Skaven Armylist for details. You pick one clan as your base or main clan, you may spend up to 50% on characters and at least 25% on RnF from that list. You may have up to 50% allies, but only up to 25% of your total army may be from non-skaven lists. Some armylists have a Warmachine section and may spend up to 25% from that list. The monster list do not exist as they are bought as allies from Clan Moulder with a few exceptions. Characters that are allowed to ride a monster may still do so by buying the monster from the character allowance. Some entries in these lists have been marked elite and that springs from a general discussion about which troops are elites and not, I took the opportunity to include my view of the Skaven elites. Also note that several of the entries on these lists are my own work and they are available on my website Archive Skaven - http://hem2.passagen.se/angel8/Index.htm
CLAN PESTILEN
Clan Pestilens exist to spread plague and pestilence through their foul rites and experiments. They have been choosen by the Horned Rat himself as his Disciples of Decay. They are responsible for for more deaths than any other Clan, mainly due to the plauges and diseases they have unleashed on the human cities and empires in the Old World. The main strongholds of Clan Pestilen consist of captured Slann temples underneath the humid jungles of Lustria and a single Stronghold in the Southlands. They also have their own quarter in Skavenblight, maintaining their position as one of the most powerful clans in the Skaven Under-Empire.
CHARACTERS
1 Plague Pathriarch (General)
Plauge patriarchs are senior Clan Pestilen members that are given command of lesser strongholds or lairs. They supervise all Clan Pestilen activity in the area and devote most of their time researching or perfectin diseases. They are very skilled in the Liturgus Infecticus and hold rituals to the Horned Rats honour. They often command Clan Pestilen armies. There are precious few Plauge Priests and the competition between Plauge Priests to fill a vacant position is fierce. The Plauge patriarchs spend even more time and energy fighting each other over the position of Plauge Lord.

filled with warpstone mixed with bubbling offal and putrescence. The Plauge Monks used
great bellows to blow noxious, bubonic vapours toward the enemy and when it is caught by
the wind it will roll toward the enemy as a noxious green mist. A victim that inhales the
vapours drown as the lungs are fileld with blood when the lungwalls are torn apart by the
burning fumes.
CLAN ESHIN
Clan Eshin is one of the most powerful clans in the Skaven Under Empire. Their clan is synonymous with murder and assassinations, and even their reputation is a weapon in itself. They hire their services out to the other clans, and despite their feigned political neutrality, are deeply immersed in plotting and scheming. Not the most influential, or the largest of Clans, they are one of the most feared, and they have an incredible degree of knowledge about the other Clans, learned from spies and agents.
CHARACTERS
0-1 Nightrunner
Nightrunners are the top-Assassins of Clan Eshin, only outmatched by the legendary Nightlords, they handle the more dangerous or important missions and their payment is thereafter, only a wealthy Warlord can afford to hire a Nightrunner. Where an Assassin may sneak in and kill their desired victim whitout making a noice, a Nightrunner may abduct the victim, place extensive fake evidence of heresy or steal well-guarded items whitout anyone noticing it until several nights afterwards. The Nightrunners primary occupation is to pursue missions set by the Nightlords, in order to ultimately advance to the rank of Nightlord themselves.
Assassin-Adepts
Assassin-Adepts are senior Assassins that hold administrative functions in Clan Eshin, they aprove of contracts, distribute assignments, collect payment and are responsible for the training of Gutter Runners. All Senior Assassins are required to serve as Assassin-Adepts for a period of time. Assassin-Adepts are often seen together with a group of Gutter Runners, overseeing their training and progress in-person, in battle they will strike at leaders and direct the group to its target. Often a group of Gutter Runners operating on their own is tailed by an Assassin-Adept to monitor their progress with the mission. As a final test before being titled Assassin, the Gutter Runners will be stalked by their trainer and those that survive for 24 hours are allowed to advance in the Clan Eshin, those that failed the final exame will be left unburied.

CLAN SKRYRE
The Warlock Engineers spend their days tinkering with arcane machinery powered by a combination of magic, Warpstone fuel and Warplightning. They construct machinery for various tasks but they are unreliable and break down or explode often. The holds and workshops of Clan Skryre are therefore a constant workplace as sections need to be constantly repaired or enlarged
to fit the new machineries. Engineers scuttle around hecticly making makeshift repairs or adjustments to machineries that make awful noises, supervisors try to overvoice the noise of the machineries to give orders and at the same time complete complex calculations. All clans rely heavily on a strong powerbase, one might think their base is made up of their machineries but their powerbase are made up by their countless number of slaves. The machines can perform many tasks but are expensive and unreliable, the clan need minerals from the mines and many slaves die from exhaustion or suffocation in the damp tunnels. Numerous slaves experience an agonizing death being test subjects for new weapons or sent in to repair something inside a machine. Few come out alive and many cogs and wheels display the colour of dried blood and many plates have patterns of dark brown splatter.
Note that the warmachine section have been removed to allow Clan Skryre to base the armies around these weapons.
CHARACTERS
Warlock-Engineers (one is the general, Wizards level 1-4)
Engineers (Champions and Heroes)
Clan Skryre Engineers operate Clan Skryre weapons and warmachines. The Foremen oversee the Engineers work in the Clan Skryre Workshops and often lead units of Engineers in battle. A Chief Engineer is a senior Engineer and work very close with the Warlock Engineers in developing new weapons. They are also responsible for maintaining strongholds or important workshops and often lead the forces of Clan Skryre into battle.
RNF
Clanrats
Slaves
Ratswarms
Poison Wind Globadiers
The following are warmachines but that section is not used in this armylist to allow Clan Skryre to base their army around these weapons:
Gatling Cannon
A Gatling Cannon is constructed from a dozen or more Jezzails that are welded together or are fastend in a rotating devide. All the barrels are fired at the same time and this allow more shots to be fired in less time. However the crew do not always have time to relaod all the barrels and their hastened reloading call for many duds, so the number of shots that actually are fired vary from time to time. None the less the cannon fire an impressive amount of shots, spelling doom for knight units.
Rocket Rack
Rat-racer Bombs
Rat back-strapped bombs
Poison Wind Throwers (catapult)
Warpfire Throwers teams
Jezzail teams

CLAN MOULDER
The stronghold and breeding pits of Clan Moulder lie to the north, in the blasted wasteland known as the Troll Country. It is burrowed into the walls and floor of a ragged chasm in a snowy mountainside in the northern spur of the Worlds Edge Mountains. Volcanic pools at the bottom of the chasm raise a greyish plume of steam and vapours over it and mix the stink of sulphur with the stench of matted fur and excrement carried on the wind. Worse than the stench is the dreadful cacophony of howls, squawks, screams, snarls and shrieks which clamour out of the frozen chasm like the wailing, lost souls of a thousand different races. The stronghold is not known as the Hell Pit for no reason.
Note that this armylist do not use the monster section to allow Clan Moulder to base their armies around these creatures:
CHARACTERS
1 Packlord (General)
The Hell Pit is a wast stronghold divided into several breeding pits. Each breeding pit is a clan within the clan and is ruled over by a Packlord. The Packlords direct the breeding programs and organise hunts for new stocks of beastial creatures. They sell some of their not so succesful beasts to the other clans as bodyguards or beasts of burden. Each Packlord is a mighty warrior and a ruthelss general.

THE ORDER OF GREY SEERS
The Grey Seers are the Horned Rat's representatives and servants among Skaven society. They are free of all Clan loyalties, and answer only to the Council of Thirteen and the Horned Rat himself. Grey Seers are highly respected and feared in Skaven society, few dare to interfere in Grey Seer activities and even fewer would think to attack the Grey Seer as any intervention in Grey Seer affairs is immediately punishable by death.

RNF
May take RnF from the Warlord Clan list, this represents a clan being drafted into service of a Grey Seer. However you may not take Stormvermins, no Grey Seer will allow a clans best, and most ambitous, warriors to come near him with weapons.
Seerguard (Stormvermin, Elite)
The Order of Grey Seers do not have a standing army of Clanrats nor are the allowed to have one. They do control numerous Warlord Clans and they reserve the right to recruit one Skaven per year and clan from the Warlord Clans Stormvermins. They are the best warriors drawn from the Stormvermins and have sworn to defend the Grey Seer or die trying. No one can imagine the horrors that will happen to a Champion that betrays the Horned Rats choosen Prophets, and no one is willing to find out. The Seer Guard function as a small police force that support the Grey Seers in their work. They preceed a Grey Seer on his investigations and seizes locations and people for questioning. They also guard the temples of the Horned Rat and as the Grey Seers make their havens in the temples they ensure that the Grey Seers are protected at all time against attackers or assassinations. They will accompany a Grey Seer on the battle field ensuring that any enemy must fight their way past their black halberds before they reach the Grey Seer. It is unheard of that a unit of Seer Guards would have abandoned their Grey Seer Master in the heart of the battle. They wear black metal armour of the highest quality and their uniforms are white to mimic the robes of their Grey Seer Masters, they often have the rune symbol of the Horned Rat painted in red onto their uniforms and shields.
WARLORD CLANS
The Warlord Clans are the most numerous of the Skaven Clans but even the largest Warlord clan is in fact only a number of small clans held together by a powerful Warlord.
