First appearance of Deep Throat, Mulder's first informant, also the first appearance of 'the stoner kids' Emil and Zoe. In this XF, the military is building UFOs and the pilots cannot deal with it.

Eugene Tooms is a psycho killer mutant who hibernates, then kills people for their livers, and can squeeze into any space possible.

Mulder and Scully investigate an XF in which a young boy seems to be a conduit for alien transmissions.
10/08/93 The Jersey Devil
A killed and partially eaten man brings our heroes to Atlantic City, where a possibility is brought up that humans could revert to a more primitive state at birth. In other news, Scully goes out on a date. First sign of life other than work.

A dead boss returns from the grave to protect his secretary from a coworker who was selling technology to terrorists.
10/29/93 Ghost in the Machine
An intelligent computer kills in self-defense.
11/05/93 Ice
An alien organism turns a group of scientists against each other, and the same thing happens to the group that Mulder and Scully are trapped with while investigating.
11/12/93 Space
A former astronaut who may have been taken over by an alien spirit sabotages a shuttle mission, endangering the crew.
11/19/93 Fallen Angel
First appearance of Max Fenig. A UFO crash near Townsend, WI brings Mulder a-running. When he infiltrates the site without prior approval, the X-Files division is in danger of being shut down, but is saved by Deep Throat.
12/10/93 Eve
Cloning runs rampant in this ep, and two little girls are not as innocent as everyone thinks they are.
12/17/93 Fire
First appearance of Phoebe Green. Mulder is afraid of fire. A pyrokenetic can burn anything -- or anyone -- he wants to.
01/07/94 Beyond the Sea
Luther Lee Boggs is apparently in contact with the spirit world, but wants a reprieve from death row for his information. Scully is the believer here, maybe because of her father's death.
01/21/94 Genderbender
A strange sect called the Kindred kill humans after having sex with them -- then change sex.
02/04/94 Lazarus
A bank robber and an FBI agent share the same body after both were shot during the robbery.
02/11/94 Young At Heart
A man from Mulder's past returns to haunt him, even though he's supposedly dead.
02/18/94 E.B.E.
First appearance of the Lone Gunmen. Mulder and Scully find out that Deep Throat has deliberately misled them. The government has signed a world pact to kill any Extraterrestrial Biological Entity if it survives a crash.
03/18/94 Miracle Man
Parishioners mysteriously die when they are touched by a young man who could heal by a touch previously.

A young Native American is shot by a rancher, who insists that he shot at a beast, and not a man.
04/15/94 Darkness Falls
Loggers in a forest are cocooned by florescent green insects that were awakened when the loggers cut down the tree that they were dormant in.
04/22/94 Tooms
Eugene Tooms is ba-aack! Tooms is finally tied to the murders that have spanned over 100 years, and starts the cycle over again. When Mulder and Scully realize where Tooms has gone, they follow, and during a life-and-death struggle, Tooms is crushed to death.
04/29/94 Born Again
A murdered police officer returns in his daughter's body to kill the participants in his murder.
05/06/94 Roland
A dead scientist manipulates his retarded identical twin to complete work on his jet engine that could reach supersonic speeds using half the fuel, and kills anyone who gets in his way.
05/13/94 The Erlenmyer Flask SEASON CLIFFHANGER
The government is performing experiments on terminally ill patients with extraterrestrial viruses. Mulder is captured by the military while trying to help one of the mutants, and Scully is helped by Deep Throat to get him back. During the exchange, Deep Throat is shot, and warns Scully to 'Trust No One'. Later, she learns from Mulder that the government is shutting down the X-Files.
