If you are here, I am assuming you know absolutely nothing about this series whatsoever. Here are the vitals:

• It airs in Canada as Deepwater Black on YTV at 9:30am Mondays
• From July 1997 to July 1998, it aired as Mission Genesis on The Sci-Fi Channel [SFC] at Friday 2:30pm and Saturdays 12:00pm [EST]
• It airs in the UK and Scotland as Deepwater Black on Channel 5 at 11:00am on Sundays
• Unfortunately, it does not appear Scandinavian/Benelux viewers or Southern Africa viewers will be getting Deepwater Black again.
• It airs in Belgium under its original name on Kanaal 2 5:30pm on Sundays.
• It was based on a trilogy of books written by New Zealand author Ken Catran, the Deepwater Trilogy.

• Chances are that if you do not know the show, you will not know how to navigate this site, since all the sections of the ship are based upon the anatomy of the spaceship the show is based on. Almost all the pages have a link to Deck 3, the Command Deck, which is pretty much a sitemap that points out just what is in every section.

  The show was filmed during a 10-week period from February to late April, in 1997. 13 episodes were made, to be aired on the Sci-Fi Channel in July and YTV in August. There were plans to film 9 more if the show did well--these plans were slated for the end of fall, 1997, but the silence in publicity would indicate that Sci-Fi or YTV pulled out of this and never re-ordered any episodes.
