Welcome stranger, so you saw my candle?
Aye, I always leave one in the window for the
lost souls, seems to draw them. Me Dad
taught me that the Light from one small
candle could not be swamped by all the
Darkness in the void. Used to comfort me
in the hard days. All's welcome here, for only
the Good will be drawn to the Light. You be
new to these parts, I can tell. Drag a chair
closer and throw another log on the fire , while
I draw you a tankard of mead. 'Tis a bitter night
indeed, cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass
monkey it is.
