Welcome to the world of Darker Days. In this page I will try to give you an overview of what Darker Days is all about and a brief description of what you might find in the other sections.

Darker Days is a role playing game which is set in the dark future of 2031. This is a cyberpunk genre game, so if you are familiar with the cyberpunk theme, you can probably get a better picture of the atmosphere in which Darker Days is played. If not, please go to The World of 2031 section, where you will get some background and atmosphere.

But Darker Days is not a pure cyberpunk game. Something is wrong. Something that humanity never expected had happened. If you are planning to be a GM, then go to the GM Section and find out more. If you are only planning to play this game as a player then don't worry - let your GM worry about letting you know...

Darker Days is more than just a genre - it is a whole role playing system. This system was created by me after I was disappointed with the cyberpunk style games on the market. What you have here is a system that was created with fluency and ease of play as the top considerations. I tried not to encumber the players with rules, but rather create a system that is intuitive so the GM and players can improvise with ease when an situation, which is not covered by the rules, arises.

Go to the Rulebook and take a look at the rules. I think it should take not more than an hour for an experienced gamer to learn the new rules. You will also need the Equipment Catalog in order to play. There you will find a listing of what technology has to offer at 2031.

The Old Stuff section has the previous version of the rules. I just keep it here for reference. Something that might be of interest there is the computer related stuff. In the new version of the rules I simplified the computer rules, and someone looking for a more expanded set of computer rules and equipment might want to look over there.

Last is the Downloads section. In this section I place downloadable versions of various documents from this site. I try to put all the rules related stuff there and anything else I am asked for.
