These first two pictures are my hauls from the 1997 conventions. Yes, I got a lot! That's the value of a college education and a good job. So Stay in School!
Here's "proof" that Transcon '97 was THE place to be for Japanese TF's. Prices were about 40% lower than Botcon,
and there was much more to choose from.

Not that Botcon '97 was anything less than awesome. Brought back more than my fair share from this one, too!
Note: A lot of people have asked about Transcon prices being cheaper. That was only on Japanese pieces and only because that was the only place the dealers from Japan set up in 1997. Since from Japan, California is a much easier trip than Ohio, the Hartmans were successful in luring them to their show in 1998. That made Botcon THE place for Japanese TF's in 98! Things change every year...
