The Double-Helix.

I think this looks pretty close to a photo, but it is really a computer rendered image. I made it using the POV-Ray freeware program.

This spiral can be built in the real world, and it will stand by itself quite well. You cannot see the base that I built for it, as I have not had the time to work out the math for that part and re-render, but it should not prove too complicated.

I'm not terribly happy with the way the blue looks in this image, but I wanted it to look as close to the real model I built as possible, and that is the color I used...
