When we got off the boat at Edfu, we climbed up some rather grotty, rock steps to get to the street where the tour bus awaited. There, along with the tour bus, were horse-drawn buggies of just about every color combination imaginable.

And they were all acting like they owned the road.

I suppose taking a ride in these would be like anything else: make sure you know what you're paying before you get in and hope to goddess they don't change the price halfway to Cairo. Other than that, it looks like a fun way to see the town.
