Karnak Temple

When I said that I was going to Egypt, a lot of people who'd been there before said that this would be the best part of the trip. At the time I was pie-eyed over going to see the Great Pyramid, so I didn't believe them. However, I now have to admit that they were right.

Karnak is located up the Nile, about an hour's flight from Cairo. We got on board our ship there, and spent the day between Karnak and Luxor, which is just on the other side of town. There was once a sphinx-lined road connecting the two, but that's been long gone, its pieces used to make people's houses.

Yet another shame..., but I'm sure a few people appreciated having unique bedposts.
