Aga Khan's Mausoleum

In truth, though the scenery was pretty, there wasn't much in the way of sights to actually see on the felucca ride.

Exceptions were:

* The mausoleum of the Aga Khan, which is pictured here. His wife used to live in a house at the bottom when she'd come to visit.

* A tomb of an Islamic saint, up on a hill

* The Necropolis of Aswan -- tombs built into the hills that they lit up at night.

* On Elephantine Island, where the barnacles laid in wait, the uncompleted, concrete ruins of what was supposed to be the best hotel in Aswan. The project was stopped by the government because Hosni Mubarak's son owns a hotel in Aswan and didn't need the competition.

Oh. Well, I guess we did see some things after all. Never mind.
