Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord:
though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow;
though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Any angel who serves Rebecca may also take this Attunement, for the standard cost. She also possesses the Elohim choir resonance, but does not suffer the dissonance condition of that choir. She is incapable of granting this resonance to others, however.
Special Rites: Rebecca gains 1 Essence any time she assists someone in suceeding at a second attempt in anything that is important to them. She may grant this Rite to others.
Dissonance: Rebecca suffers a point of dissonance any time she determines that an individual both needs and deserves a second chance, and she refuses to help them. Any Servitor of Second Chances suffers this dissonance condition as well.
Lilith stalked through the Vale of Dreams, a look of anger on her face. She was approaching the center of the Vale, the ethereal border between Heaven and Hell, and she was not happy about it. In the distance she could see a radiant figure, waiting. Swallowing her distaste, she approached.
"Ah, there you are," the figure said, smiling. He looked her over, as if studying her. "You look just as lovely as ever, Lilith."
"I'm not here for your compliments, Eli," she snarled. pausing, she struggled to regain her composure. "I'm not here for you, either. I'm only here to fulfill my end of the bargain."
Lilith gestured, and a third figure stepped from behind her. She could have passed for a Saint or a Mercurian, but it was obvious that she was neither. She was enveloped in a softly glowing sapphire light, with gemstone-like wings stretching from the glow. "One Bright Daughter, as untouched by the Forces of Hell as possible," Lilith said.
Eli smiled at the Daughter, and then turned his gaze back to Lilith. He said nothing for several moments, then cocked an eyebrow. "As untouched as possible?" he questioned.
Lilith clenched her fists in fury, trying to control herself. "The terms of our agreement were that you be allowed to observe the creation process for yourself," she grated out, "You know as well as I do that I had to incorporate at least one of my Forces into her. If I had only used the Forces you donated, she would be a Mercurian."
Eli had returned to examining the Bright Daughter Lilith had brought, and was gave no sign that he was even listening. Lilith rolled her eyes. "Now, if there is nothing else, I will be leaving. I've put myself in enough danger just meeting with you."
Eli looked up, and cocked an eyebrow again. "So you're running back to Hell, looking for safety?" He paused, looking at Lilith. Seeing no response, he continued. "You're nothing but a tool to them."
Rage flared in Lilith's eyes. "It's better than what God and the host had planned for me!" she shouted. "You and yours would have made me a slave! In Hell, at least, I am free!"
Eli's face grew serious. "Free? Oh, yes, you are free. Free from hope. Free from your true potential. Free from responsibility. Free from a man who loved you far more than you will ever understand." Lilith started to speak, but Eli cut her off. "Oh yes, he loved you. He still does. But at least you are free. Free because you are a useful tool. Free because you sell your own children into slavery. Free because you flee from anything that might force you to grow up, and realize that nothing is free!"
Lilith flinched, then turned and stormed off. Her Bright Daughter started to follow, but was stopped by Eli. "No, don't," he said, "It won't help. Not now." He watched Lilith depart. "But maybe, just maybe, someday..."
Eli looked back down at the Bright Daughter, and smiled. "But I forget myself. I'm Eli, Archangel of Creation. What's your name?"
The Bright daughter looked up at him, a mixture of nervousness and curiousity on her face. "Rebecca," she said.
Rebecca is perhaps the rarest of all Celestial beings, a Bright Lilim who was not born in Hell. She was born in A.D. 1762, created by Lilith from Forces supplied by Eli. It is not known if Eli now owes Lilith a geas or if he called in a favor from Lilith. It is also not known why exactly Eli wanted Lilith to provide him with a Lilim in the first place.
Her arrival in Heaven was noticed and remarked upon, but no more so than the entrance of any redeemed Lilim. In fact, most angels assumed she was "just" a redeemed Lilim, and Eli saw no reason to correct the impression. Except for a few trusted Servitors of Creation (and, of course, Yves) who have known all along, most of the Archangels have only recently learned her true history.
Rebecca was a quick learner, and was soon driven by a desire to understand her place in Heaven. When she was not studying in the Halls of Creation, or working on special assignements on Earth, she could be found in Yves' Great Library. She loved not only the books themselves, but the air of peace and serenity the Library held, and the Servitors of Destiny who worked there. She made friends with many of them, including a charming elderly Saint whom she came to love like a grandfather.
Following Eli's recent disapearance from Heaven, Rebecca elected to enter the service of Destiny. To her shock and embarrasment, she learned that the "grandfatherly Saint" she loved so dearly was actually Yves himself. But he only smiled and waved off her stammered apologies, and invited her into his service anyway. Since that time she has become a valued Servitor of Destiny as well as Creation.
On Earth, Rebecca is an attractive human woman who owns and operates a nightclub in Washington, D.C. named "Eden". She uses this nightclub to encourage new bands that might not otherwise get a break, as a place for those who have poor success in love to gain another chance at meeting a soul-mate, and as a place that people whose lives are in danger (particularly abused spouses and runaways) can find shelter. Eden has also become the "central headquarters" for the angels assigned to the D.C. area, particularly the other Word-bound angels. Archangelic visits are not infrequent either, ranging from Eli checking in on his daughter to Laurence stopping by to brief his Servitors. She finds the number of angels comforting in a way, but worries that it may also eventually attract demonic attack. She really likes her club, after all, and has no desire to see it destroyed.
