Marches. It is the realm of mortal dreams and imagination, a place where the
spark of divinity within all creates life and shapes order out of chaos.

The Ethereal Movement of the Symphony is better known to many as the Ethereal
Marches. It is the realm of mortal dreams and imagination, a place where the
spark of divinity within all creates life and shapes order out of chaos.
The forces of Heaven and Hell are primarily concerned with the part of the Marches they call the "Vale of Dreams", a vast valley capable of containing all the dreams of all the mortals who have ever lived. Opposite each other, looking across the Vale are the almost-twin fortresses of Dream and Nightmares, the respective bastions of Heaven and Hell.
Beyond the Vale, beyond the borders marked out by fiat dei are the Far Marches. A veritable sea of unformed chaos, marked here and there by small realms which have broken away from the Vale. Here are the realms of the self-proclaimed "gods", ethereal spirits and Outcasts and Renegades who sought to challenge the power of Heaven. Driven from the Corporeal by the Purification Crusade, they wait. Some merely try to survive without the essence flow of their worshippers, while others plan for the day when they may once again challenge God's dominion over Creation itself.
