I have always loved the stars. My first introduction to astronomy came from the Golden Nature Guide, STARS. I was so excited when I first found the constellation Orion while standing on a chair in the backyard. I was ten. By age thirteen I was thrilled to be accepted as a member of the local astronomy club. Our first all-night field trip was quite an adventure. We watched a meteor shower, and a close grouping of two planets and the Moon just before dawn.

I continued learning the constellations, and now I am never lost in the night sky. My old familiar friends are there without fail year in and year out. I'm currently a member of an astronomy club based at the local university.

I have my own 10" reflecting telescope, and have spent many enjoyable nights under clear country skies observing the wonders of the Universe.
