First Commandment

In this episode we get a little looksee into the past of Samantha Carter, and we find out she was engaged to some guy named Hanson (a sign that trouble was ahead) who eventually ended out to be this insane maniac who's read the bible a few too many times and thinks he's god. Men! Sheesh!

But, I will admit, that whoever plays Hanson did a pretty good acting job. I liked the neat little shot where the Stargate activates, and I liked that bit where that kid remarks on Teal'C's (so how do you write that? Two apostrophes? ) drawing. Teal'C as a starving artist. Yeah...sure...I can picture that one...

And, like most episodes, there were a couple I didn't like. Such as, for example, Daniel's hat. Or bandana. Or whatever the hell that thing was. I'm not really sure, but it was hideous. As we can see in his shirt in Torment of Tantalus and at the end of Hathor, Daniel doesn't really have too much of a fashion sense. Either that or someone in the costume department has a personal vendetta against Michael Shanks, or a strange idea of what's funny. Someone should tell him or her that that's not humour! That, much like my web page, it is cruel and unusual torture, and should be confiscated with the thought that it could cause harm to Michael Shanks, and others. We really have to draw the line, because some people just don't know when to quit.

But fortunately I do (most of the time...with the odd exception). And now that I've got that little hat rant off my chest, although expect to see more of them (rants, not hats), I'm finished.

The End
