A Matter of Time

Black holes are preeeeeeeety.....

What can I say? I really really really enjoyed this episode! A lot! Would I have enjoyed it if there hadn't been a long three month break in between episodes (granted, this came AFTER The Fifth Race in Showtime production, but still...)? The answer is yes, I would.

You know, it's hard to make fun of serious episodes. If this episode had been a little less well done, it would have been very easy. But it wasn't. It was superb, so it is. So give me a minute, and let me think for a bit...

Ah, well, first off, anyone else think Carter is getting a little high and mighty with her "I'm smarter than you are so ha ha ha" attitude. COME ON! She knows that nobody understands what she's talking about, so why does she bother? Why? Because it's fun. Sure I'm criticizing her, but hell, I'd do it too and I know it!

Wormhole effects were nice. Oooh...bye bye Iris. Say hello to Mr. Universe. Ha! And you thought you were so strong and mighty.

We get to see a glimpse into O'Neill's past through a character who dies twenty minutes after he is introduced. Basically we find out that O'Neill spent four months in an Iraq prision and, well, quite frankly isn't too happy about it.

Daniel is not in this episode at all (one scene). Normally I wouldn't been to keen about that, but I couldn't really vision him in this episode at all. So I agree with them there.

Just one question for the writers/producers/whomever should answer this question : Where is our good friend the Technician? As in, played by Gary Jones. Not that I don't mind seeing Lt. Simmons, I just mind him in the role of the Technician. I like the Technician guy! He's cool! Why isn't he there anymore?

Great special effects in this one, I must say. Well, I not 'must' say, but I would certainly like to (Oohh. Dear God, don't let my English teacher see that sentence). Lots of glass broke in this episode, that was nice. We got to see O'Neill use mountain climbing gear, that was nice. And that's basically it. I'm done.
