After years of living with her mother, cousin, and brother between the small house and a small cave, one of the many raids on her home proved successful for the enemy. The Lady Skye and Poldara's cousin Moire were both raped, beaten and killed in front of the eyes of the twins, hidden in a nearby haystack. Her brother, Belrion, held his hand over Poldara's mouth as they watched the two people they loved the most in life die.

The King and Queen of Cantenbel took the two children in and adopted them. For their mother had been the only heir to her father's riches, and Skye's father had long since died, therefore the twins were the heirs to the Amnell fortune; monies that only the King and Queen could match, and barely at that. Wanting to dabble their fingers into their inherirtance, they did what they wanted with the twins. Foolishly during this thyme Poldara fell in love with a local boy, Rory.

She stops in her story to look up at you, laughing softly and shaking her head,
"A big mistake i assure you."

Changing the subject she starts again, "Oh forgive me! I am being rude."

Leading you inside the little house she sets you down in a small kitchen, putting a teakettle over a small fire, with the intention of making tea. She skips over what you come to a conclusion as almost a year in her life, a very important year, but you don't argue as she continues, sitting down across the table from you. "My brother introduced me to a few friends at a bar a few miles away," she nods to the south, "We became regulars, and i got to know a lot of the people there." Smiling to herself she looks up and starts to recall memories, "One of the first people that I got to know was my friend Calypso," she laughs, "Calypso had an adopted family, and she took both me and my brother in, there were so many in that family. It felt good to be a part of a family again. They all treat us as though we are blood, my mother, Silent, and one of my favorite brothers Indiana i'm especially close to."

Her green eyes shadow over, "But then he was killed, the last of my blood family. My brother was killed and sent to the other side." She looks down at the ring on her left hand,"I buried him next to my cousin and mother. They wouldn't let me burn him as to tradition," she shrugs, "But i guess it was all for the better in the end, no?"

Smiling she continues on,"Aly, well, Calypso, Aly's my nickname for her, indroduced me to one of her friends, Eric. Eric Draven if i remember...yes, Draven. Never needed to use his last name much, but that didn't matter to us. We went through a lot together," pulling up the long sleeve of her dress she shows you her right hand and wrist. Her pale white hand is perfect until it reaches the wrist, where a long slash scar traces, looking very much like she tried to commit suicide.

Nodding,"Aye, I have tried it, after my brother died being one,"

She never goes on to tell you about any others, leaving you wonder at that,"but this isn't one of them. Each of us have these. Me, Aly, and Eric, we earned them after a battle one day. After that we were known as the Triad, together always, inseperable. Standing for love, honor, and happiness, and above all, each other. We even gave each other nicknames, Calypso's being Aly, Eric's being Devil, and mine Angel."

She pauses for a moment, " Aly was dying, and to save her the blood of an Angel, and a Devil was needed, we had the qualified right there."

Smiling she laughs softly to herself and stands up to pour some of the now-hot tea into two cups, setting them down on the table and sitting down again. Poldara takes a sip of her tea and looks up almost dreamily, talking softly and with much love now, "And then I met Cloudwalking." She smiles, "We were friends from the begining, my friend Lucieen introduced us. He helped me after my brother died, I remember one day i caught him talking to my brother, over his grave. I remember he said 'You're a fool Belrion, for leaving her.' I never have told him that I had heard that. Maybe I should."

She smiles and then laughs softly, now showing you the blue green and gold ring on her left ring finger, "He asked me to marry him the day that Devil asked Aly to marry him."

The young woman looking no older than ten sighs, "They never lasted. Devil died before they could be married."

She bites her lip sharply, then continues on, "I have not bored you, have i?"

Yes, I want to go back

No, continue
