January 2000 Whistler Trip

You can imagine my surprise when my girlfriend sprung her birthday gift on me. She caught me offguard by bringing it up a few weeks before my birthday. Jean told me that she wanted to find something that told me that she was thinking about me. Not just on the surface, but what really made me tick. She knew that since my car accident there had been a huge part of my life missing, and that was the outdoors. So she was looking around for something outdoors that we could both do together, and that would not be too hard on my ankle.

So she decided that she would take me to Whistler B.C. for a snow shoeing trip. It was an awesome gift and a great trip. Not only did we snow shoe, but we did a bit of dog sledding as well. I could not (and still cannot) tell her how much I appreciated that trip. I hope (and plan) to have a lot more like it. At the very least, I have picked up another outdoors sport that I completely enjoy. If you have not tried snowshoeing yet, I highly recommend it.

Here are the photos from that trip. To see a larger version of the thumbnails here, simply click on the picture.
