Mulder already figures out that the charm was meant for Scully from a secret admirer. She suddenly leaves and goes to a church where Padgett finds her and proceeds to tell her her life story. This upsets her, and she leaves while Mulder is undergoing some mail fraud with Padgett's mail. Mulder and Padgett meet in the elevator...a bit of jealously detected here? :o) Anyway, we notice that what Padgett is writing is coming true, and he writes about the "naked pretzel." with Scully as Mulder describes shortly.
