Nulorgo found himself handcuffed to a mage elf in a small cave. Coming down from the opening to the cave were two strangers, even though, the Mage elf was also a stranger to Nulorgo. "Help me," Nulorgo said to the strangers. "I have been locked up by armed horse guards from Zentil Keep, kept in a cell over night and dumped here with this elf," Nulorgo continued, speaking common to the strangers.
"Let me hold your sword," said one of the strangers wrapped in a black cape and hood. "Sure...here," said Nulorgo. "Now let me see your sack," said the stranger reaching over to the sack.
"Wait a minute," said Nulogro, "I think you're thieves," and reached to grab the other stranger. "Let go of my friend," said the first stranger. "We are very powerful. You don't want to mess with us hobgoblin". "I'll let go if you give me back my sword and not take my sack," retorted Nulorgo. The stranger gave back the sword, as the Mage elf started to talk with the strangers in Elfin, also asking for help to be likewise unshackled from the hobgoblin.
"Let me try to break these cuffs," thought Nulorgo seeming to be strong enough today. He pulled and the cuffs broke from the hobgoblin's wrist. But the cuffs were still attached to the wrist of the mage elf. "Well I never want to go back toZentil Keep as they'll lock me up again," said Nulorgo.
The strangers discussed what to do and soon they walked out of the cave into the light of day, just miles from the city of Phlan. Nulorgo and the Mage elf followed them out into the country side.
Floating miles high in the sky above appeared a castle made of a crystalline substance. As they all watched it, a beam of light appeared and reached down from the castle to where they were standing. Four elves appeared at the bottom of the beam of light, as though they had floated down from the castle.
The strangers spoke first asking, "Who are you and how did you get here from the sky?" "We are adventurers." said one elf. "We were up in that castle and looking for a way inside to the interior and then we beamed down here." "Who are you?" asked the Amazonian elf.
"I am Nulorgo," finally said, Nulorgo, after the others had talked for a while. "I am Cage." said the elf. "Come with us and be an adventurer," said the leader Riker. and they set off towards Phlan.
Arriving in the afternoon they had no luck getting past the guard at the gate. They walked west along the wall of Phlan, but soon bickering breaks out and Nulorgo clips one of the strangers on the shoulder with his scimitar. The guards from the city find this happening just outside of the gates, and lock up the two strangers and mage elf, but Nulorgo stays with the elves from the sky.
As they try again to gain entrance to the city, they do get past the guard with a bribe of ten pieces of silver. They find a tavern and book rooms and bed down for the night.
