THE MUTARIANS

The Mutarians are an ancient race, which reside on Mutar Prime, somewhere in the Alpha Quadrant. Very few Humans know the specific location of the planet. According to legend, the Mutarians were ORIGINALLY the Minataurs of Ancient Earth. Chased by Humans because of fear, they took to the stars. They wandered the stars for centuries, eventually settling on Mutar Prime. The planet they chose was endowed with EXTREME amounts of Magic. Even the air is said to radiate magical qualities.

HOUSE TAKLA

The current ruling House of the Mutarians is House Takla. Gaining control of the Mutarians in the Earth Year 4003, House Takla has been a strong presence both on Mutar Prime and within the Federation.

The Royal Family consists of::
King Takla: Current Ruler, Father to Cresta and Tecka
Prince Cresta: First in line to the throne at Takla's Death, Commanding Officer of the USS Forestal
Princess Tecka: Commodore EJ * Killkenny, Commanding Officer of the USS Midway
Prince Tunka: Marcus Killkenny, Executive Officer of the USS Midway, and EJ's Husband.


Although the Royal Family is small there are MANY members to House Takla. 1264 to be exact. They all wear the symbol seen at the top of the page in some form or fashion. Either in a pin, brouch, or a patch.

Royal Blood Guardians

These are the Mutarians assigned to protect the Royal Family when ANY member is on Mutar Prime. As they are 25-30 ft Tall, they RARELY leave planet. HOWEVER in some SPECIAL cases they will venture off-planet. This usually consists of Takla HIMSELF, going on an ambassadorial trip to another planet or to the Federation for a special meeting.



Mutarians in General

As there are TOO many classes to mention individually, this will give a general rundown of the Mutarians.


Mutarian Marine: In general these are the bigger of the species, ranging anywhere from 15-18 ft in height and weighing in the neighborhood of 600-800 lbs. These are also the standard "shock" troops of ships like the USS Midway and the Forrestall. To Date, Only Takla, Cresta and the Royal Blood Guard are larger.


Average Mutarian: These Mutarians are RARELY seen off-planet. In general they are the working class stiff of the Mutarians. Ave height is only 10-15ft and average weight is 500-600 lbs. Though small in comparison to the Marines, they hold their own in just about ANY situation.


Female Mutarians: Females are NEVER allowed off-planet. They are protected and revered within the Mutarian Culture. They average in height 8-10ft and weight of 400-500 lbs. They do not work, and live only to procreate the species.



Common Laws and Customs

While not ALL of the Customs are known Off-planet, these are a few::

Mating: When a Mutarian mates, it's for eternity, through what is known as the Wedding Ceremony. As this ceremony has NEVER actually been WITNESSED by anyone outside the culture, it's rumored to bond the SOULS of the bride and groom together for all eternity. This is based on the belief that once bound, the souls will hunt out each other no matter what BODY they are in.


Royal Family Members: When one of the Royal House is seen, a Mutarian, whether of that house or not, will immediately bow to the individual, and offer ANY assistance that may be needed. Until they are dismissed the will follow said individual around waiting to be of assistance.


Magic and the Mutarians: While MOST Mutarians are capable of simple spells, the majority are NOT practicing Magicians. Only a few, such as Prince Cresta, are of Magician Quality. Although their planet is SAID to abound in Magical properities, most Mutarians don't speak of it and take it for granted.



FINAL NOTES:

As far as is known, the Mutarians are a peaceful race until it is demanded otherwise. There are only a few exceptions. Such as threatening a member of the Royal House, declaring war on the planet, or kidnapping a female against her will.

However, with their MASSIVE war ships, and "planet busting" weaponry, any of these acts are NOT a wise thing to do.
