1965

1965 started with the departure of Caroline Fjord, and her replacement was a young actress called Moron O'Boy, playing a character called Sicki, who was introduced in the two part story The Next Queue set on the planet Dildo, by David Wicketter. Following that, a histerical four part story by Dennis Forker, The Morons, in which Barbara Wrong was chased around Rome by the Emperor Nearly. It's very funny, apparently.
The Pleb Planet was a very ambitious tale, written by Bill Spitton, and featured the evil Amicus and lots of alien species - the Menopausetera, the Opticals and the Zarbi the Greeks. Gaining improbably high viewing figures of nearly 11 people, the Pleb Planet was a great success, even though it was crap. Following this was another historical by David Wicketter, The Cruel Sid. Featuring the adventures of Dick the Lionfart, this story was quite good for a black and white story.
The Spice Museum by Gin Jones was a fascinating four part story (it says here). There was a horrific moment in this story when the four travellers discovered that the museum contained a fearsome exhibit - five female singers from the Earth year 1996. The Chaste, the next six parter saw the return of the Garlicks, up against the metal monsters, the Meccanos. This story saw the departure of William Muscle and Jacqueline Mountain and the introduction of a new companion, Peter Pervert as Steven Tinkertailor. To this day, Steven Tinkertailor is the only companion to have a beard. It was a good beard, not like those piddly little "goatee" ones you get today, oh no, not by a long chalk, it was a full beard, making him look like a man, a proper man, and not one with no beard, oh no. There was no mistaking that here was someone you could rely on, because he had a beard, the monsters would fear him, the ladies would adore him, and all would be well with the world. Except he shaved it off before the next story, the sod.
Tim the Meddler finished off season two in more ways than one. The travellers faced Tim the evil Meddler, played by Peter Ican'tbelieveit'snotbutterworth. Written again by Dennis Forker and directed by Douglas Camshaft, Docceroo defeated Tim and all was well.
Season two had put the programme in the public eye again, and it was a foregone conclusion that a third season would emerge. The opening story, Gay Lax 4 was written by William M&Ms, and was a battle between the Drahvin Instructors and the Rolls, with their deadly Chummie robots. Of course, being Docceroo, the Rolls weren't vicious monsters at all, but nice monsters.
The controller of the Boob at this time, AreHuw Well,Don?, decided to have another Garlic story, at the request of his mother. A one part story was written as a prelude to this tale, Mission to the Onion, and concerned an old mother, Ma Cory's attempt to stop the Garlics.Of course she failed.
The Miss Makers saw the departure of Moron O'Boy as Sicki, written by Donald Cottonbud. A new companion was introduced, Craperina, played by Adrienne Mountain. However, the production team soon discovered that she was crap so killed her off in the next story.
And the next story was the 12 part epic, The Garlics Masturbate. As well as the death of Craperina, a companion was introduced for this story, Sorry Condom, played by Jean Marshgas. The last episode of the year was a Christmas special, The Fist of Stephen, in which the whole episode was played for fun and laughs and was a huge send up of the show. Nobody noticed...
