Vrinn was seen as your typical drow fighter. He always wore a suit of drow chainmail+3, and a cloak of protection+2, which acted as a Piwafwi. In battle he wielded a pair of Short Swords, which were a Short Sword+2, and a Short Sword of Wounding. Aside from these magical weapons and protection, Vrinn had no use for magical items.
Vrinn was always considered one of the most charismatic drow within all of Menzoberranzan, he had been known to capture the hearts of many of Lloth's loyal priestess, including a few Matron Mothers of lower ranked Houses. When Sorn was still at the house, the brothers had a strong dislike for each other, Vrinn saw Sorn as a weakling, and someone who stood in the way of his need for power. Upon Sorn's removal, Vrinn eagerly took up the position of Weapons Master, and also the title of Elderboy. When his Krenaste and Quild were born, Vrinn found that he had a faithful lap dog in his younger brother Quild who seemed to look up to the drow warrior. He graciously took the younger Duskryn noble under his "wing" and began to teach him of the many aspects of drow life. However this all changed upon the return of Sorn, which led to a bloody and deadly battle between the two Duskryn Elderboys. Vrinn had underestimated his older brother who upon his return had an increased knowledge of fighting skills, and in the end, the battle ended upon the death of Vrinn by the hands of Sorn.
Vrinn was perhaps the most charismatic drow around during his time. He easily used his looks and fighting skills to increase his standings within Menzoberranzan. Vrinn wanted only one thing, "POWER", and he would have gotten it, if it weren't for one drow, namely his brother Sorn.
