After an amusing year working for H+R Block, I've moved on to CTO of a thriving(*) .com in lovely Watertown.

We have an actual revenue stream, and we're hiring varied technical roles in development and IT (network, desktop, database engineering and support).

(*) Thriving: making our targets and continuing to get investment on schedule despite current market conditions, so we're not quite as risky a risk. Profitability will take some (planned) time yet.

So if you're interested, drop me a line. Or even if you're not, and you like beer.

Hey all, thought I'd drop in an update. I moved west to Utah a little over 2 years ago. I spent a less that a year with WordCruncher, (now Logio). I then moved on to Caldera. I have since left them and now work for Lineo doing embedded Linux solutions. Gee, I hope the html comes out right... ;-)

Hi All-sorry I stopped updating the site a little over a year ago now. Duty elsewhere, the burning need to lambaste the ol' Platter died down (there are so many targets these days), etc.. I'm thinking about making one more pass at the design to make it le s obvious that it's VERY low maintenance. This board is the lasting connector for XPers...too much work to maintain the wall--too many hurt feelings when someone isn't added to it quickly enough (I should copy a few of the nasty emails some of the more eg maniacal developers sent when they weren't instantly sainted for leaving--even those who drove many others away before going themselves). So, I apologize to those not on the wall--you are as important to this bygone cause as any of us. Not RR.

Well......the "stay" at Davox was a short one, six weeks; to be brief, they didn't like me. So I'm contracting away and atttempting to find a permanent post-sales tech support position (hopefully supporting apps that run on UNIX). Thanks for doing this page - I love to check the rumour mill out. Isn't it amazing how INTERESTED we still are - they must have done something right. I see Knowledgecite has been rolled back in, just before any customers and IPs became too confused.. (s orely not). Anyway, we had a brilliant, drunken reunion at Online - I booked a table for 10, and 20 turned up - it was good to see so many old (sorry, familiar) faces. We didn't manage to get to everyone, but most people doing the rounds on Tuesday got to know throu h a sort of osmosis. Most interesting to hear about people no longer in the industry. My favourite example is Lou Breinholdt whose business is taking off. Once she has a web site you have to get a link for the girlies! The news for those of you that weren't there is that I'm getting married! Richard took me to Paris to ask me - which is sooo cliched (and MASSIVELY out of character), but I am not complaining. For those of you who mock and scorn the Forum, I have to tell you it was that which finally made him make his mind up - so some stuff to thank the Platter for.
