"Alan is an avid technologist" 04/30/98 AlanD has joined Si1verP1atter as our new Vice President for Technology Development. Alan comes to us with an extensive background in Marketing and Technology leadership in a variety of technology-based companies. Among his credentials was his role as product manager for the VT100 at Digital Equipment Corporation in the 1970s. Alan is an avid technologist and has personally done a number of start-ups where he played both a marketing and technology role. The technology development groups in both London and Norwood will report to Alan. He will have overall responsibility for both our database publishing technologies (buildware, conversionware, and design tools) and our software products which make-up the ERL suite of capabilities (database, network, and retrieval clients). In addition, Alan will also be responsible for the work of the ERL 4.0 completion team and the transition of all ERL development activities to London.
