On Monday 15th September please join me in welcoming JohnD who will join Si1verP1atter as the Vice President of Operational Effectiveness.

John will be a member of the ET and will be responsible for designing and implementing the future infrastructure of the company whilst keeping an eye on the current systems. I have had the opportunity of both interviewing John and working with him as he attended various meetings including the US partner meeting and he has a clarity of vision and purpose that will greatly benefit Si1verP1atter in its future.

Amongst John's life history I note that he has worked mostly recently as Vice President and Executive Director of Technologies at 5ymmetrix Corp a Mass based consultancy firm, 5ymmetrix is a 120 person management consulting firm providing strategy, organizational effectiveness, operations, and information system consulting to Fortune 500 firms. Previously John worked at Computer Corporation of America during which time he spent a visiting year as Professor of Information Science at Shanghai Institute of Technology. On a personal level John lives in Arlington Mass, has a wife and two sons and has run 22 marathons.

John will be visiting all of our offices in the near future and I would encourage you to share your vision of the companies future and your department/region etc;'s future needs with John.
