This is my slug, Sea Meenkee! I named him after the band that my friends once had and the sea monkeys that my friend Dania had at the beginning of the school year. He's a racing slug, as you can see by his nifty purple and green racing blanket. I adopted him on November 2, 1997, so he hasn't won any races yet, but I think he's got some real potential! Right now he's just getting used to the house that I had built for him to live in, it's really neat, and has all the amenities a slug could want, including cable TV! It's a two-story house, and because I've got absolutely no skills with computer art, I'll have to describe it to you. It's got a very large yard, complete with a garden, so he can grow all of his food. He's got a living room, a dining room, and a family room, though he hasn't got any family yet. In the dining room is a nice big table so that he has room to entertain all of his friends. The living room has a fireplace (for decoration only, he's not too big on fires) and a lot of comfortable chairs. The family room contains a large amopunt of bean bags and a big-screen (to him) projector TV so that he can watch TV whenever he wants! Upstairs he has three bedrooms, one for him, one for his guests, and one that he asked me to convert to a library so that he can read when he's not in the mood for TV. His room is a very nice forest green color, with soft plush carpet and a walk-in closet. It's also got a bathroom attached that has a jacuzzi and a shower. The guest room shares a bathroom with the library, and is decorated in a very tasteful plum. The library carpeting is maroon, and the walls are a khaki color. The bookshelves are stained a dark cherry, and go very well with the carpet. There are also a number of comfy leather chairs in this room, big enough to fall asleep in when reading late at night! Well, that's Sea Meenkee's house for you, and once we get acquainted, I'll tell you a bit about his friends that he's made so far and all the fun slug things that they do!
Nov. 21, 1997-Today Meenkee made a new friend! My friend Susie just adopted an adorable little slug that she named Marmalade. She brought him over to Meenkee's house and they watched the Discovery Channel together because there was a special on slugs! They had a wonderful time, and Meenkee can't wait for Marmalade to come over again because he just heard of a great movie that he wants to rent for next time.
Dec. 11, 1997-As you may have noticed, Meenkee has decided to spend some time outside with the new trees I planted in his yard. I think he likes them, do you?
Dec. 15, 1997-Because I have tried to take good care of my little Meenkee, the gracious lady from the adopting agency has given me an award!
July 17, 1998-There's a new addition to the family! Joie'la, the mystical slug has joined us in our happy home. Meenkee is very happy to have a new friend to play with!!
