"Buffalo"
[permanent link].
A what-if kind of story set in the 1930s where the author
examines what might have happened if his father had met
H.G. Wells
when Wells was visiting the U.S.

"The Miracle of Ivar Avenue"
[permanent link].
A story that starts off as an apparently simple mystery turns into
something quite different. A body is found on a beach that appears to
be that of a famous Hollywood director. But the said director is
alive and well but acts suspiciously. The detective on the case has
to figure out what is going on and when he does, the result are
amazing and may be called a miracle indeed.

"Ninety Percent of Everything"
[permanent link].
An interesting story (co-authored by
James Patrick Kelly,
John Kessel and
Jonathan Lethem that pays homage to
the saying that
"Ninety percent of everything is rubbish." In this
story, an alien species known as 'shit dogs' have landed on various
locations on Earth and are eating they way into it, occasionally
'excreting' fabulous crystals in exteremely smelly 'dung heaps'. A
wealthy man and his team attempt to access the crystals. But will the
attempt cause repurcussions among the aliens; or are they even paying
attention to the correct alien items?
