Adventure Script

1. EXT. Docking Pad-Equater City-Rodia 1.
PLOOVO 2 FOR 1: Okay boys, here's the rest of the 5,000 as promised. I'll be on my way and I wish you all luck.

SMUGGLER: (LOOKING IN POUCH OF CREDITS) Luck? What for?

PLOOVO: Good luck finding employent. The severance is included in the 5,000.

JEDI/BH/GAMBLER: But you can't write us off like that!

SMUGGLER: We're the best pilots in the sector!

PLOOVO:Yes, but not the best in the galaxy. You guys just don't have the kind of caliber that Solo has.

BH: That lousy scum and his walking carpet!

PLOOVO: Hey! No need for name calling, besides, some of the less demanding clients can be found in this city, if you look for them.

GAMBLER: No wait, you'd be throwing away valuable assets by canning us!

PLOOVO: No more of your sales talk! See you guys later. (exits)

SMUGGLER: Awww great, now we're never gonna be able to afford ship repairs.

JEDI: Don't worry, with your skills, you can do much of the repairs yourself, and (gambler's name) can always find an employer. We just have to trust our own abilities.

BH: No more lectures on that Force of yours! This is REAL bad.

JEDI: Don't be so taciturn then! We'll find a way.

SMUGGLER: He's right (BH's name). We haven't run out of luck yet.

JEDI: Luck has nothing to do with it.

GAMBLER: Well, with my skills, I'm sure I can find an employer at the TAMARI CASINO, it's just down the street.

BH: NO! No more gambling for you.

GAMBLER: But it's--

JEDI: Not after the scam on Ryloth.

GAMBLER: No, this time it's STRICTLY business.

SMUGGLER: Well, we might as well take off with a full hold.

BH/JEDI/GAMBLER: Then let's explore the attractive vistas of Rodia!

The Tamari Casino

The Tamari Casino is where the characters are to get their next job Have them look around for a few minutes, rolling for a random encounter once or twice. When all encounters have been resolved, then Margo Cresp approaches the characters.

Read aloud:
A man stylishly dressed nudges you, he says, "Greetings, I am Margo Cresp, first lieutenant of Nagraro's bussiness consortium. A rather large man informed me that you are the pilots that I am looking for. Perhaps we should sit down to a quieter location to discuss business." What do you do?

Below is the requirements of the job, play the part of Cresp and negotiate acordingly.

The Job
Nagraro sent Cresp to find someone to pick up a droid in the city, fly to Tatooine to pick up more cargo and meet a Cresp again, then fly the entire shipment to Tanathca. The job pays 7,000 to 10,000 plus expenses.
Instructions on the cargo run:
Cresp will pay 2,000 now and meet the characters in exactly 2 hours. The characters are not to be late. At the ship, Cresp will have the droid and 3,000 more. The rest will be paid upon delivery and further instructions will be given later. Under no circumstances are the Imperials or Rebels to find out about this run.

Should the characters agree, Cresp will be at their ship in exactly 2 hours. Between now and then, the characters may do as they wish. Outside, it is totally night. Go to"Late" if the characters are late, otherwise go to "Meeting".

Late

Read aloud:
You come out onto the landing pad of your ship and see Margo Cresp with five Rodians and a small cylindracal droid. Cresp galances at you sternly and barks,"You're late, this cannot be allowed any longer. Time keeping for this job is important".
Go to "Further Instructions"

Meeting

Read aloud:
You arrive at the landing pad, and you find no one there. That's fine because you're a few minutes early. Soon, Cresp arrives with five Rodians and a small cylindracal droid. He says,"Good, you're on time. You may go far in Nagraro's business."
Go to "Further Instructions"

Further Instructions

Read aloud:
Cresp continues to speak in a fast, no nonsense, business like manner. "Here's the droid and 3,000 as promised. You are to take this droid to Tatooine, and meet me at the Crash Memorial in Mos Eisly in one standard week on 1300 of that day. More cargo is awaiting you in Mos Eisly. Do not be late and remember; no Imperials, no Rebels." Cresp presses a pouch full of credit chits into your hand as he leaves.
Cresp is in a hurry to carry out any plans, he will not divuldge any information on the droid or the job. He merely explains that more instructions will await the group in Mos Eisly.

The Droid Upon Inspection

The droid's name is R2-R6, is very fiesty and will not tell anything about his own signifigance. Easy inspection (no die roll required) reveals that the droid contains two files, the jump coordinates from Rodia to Tatooine, and an encrypted file. A heroic security roll reveals that the file is the jump coordinates from the Tanathca system to deep in space. The length of the journy from Rodia to Tatooine is 3 days and 4 hours, difficulty is difficult. The episode ends when they blast off.
