Character Creation Rules

"So you want to be an adventurer, eh?"

These rules will be updated periodically.

All PCs start at level 2. Create your character as a level one character and then advance them to level 2. For the first 2 levels all PCs get their FULL HIT DIE in Hit Points per level (ie/ Fighters start with 20 HPs, Wizards with 8, etc.). Each level thereafter they roll normally but get a minimum 51% on the die if they roll badly. (3 on d4, 4 on d6, 5 on d8, 6 on d10)

PCs are all considered to have been on one or two minor forays and as such begin with 2 potions of Cure Light Wounds (one dose each potion, heals 1d8+1 and requires 1 standard action to use) and may equip themselves using DOUBLE their maximum starting money (do not roll).

PC CLASSES

All basic PC classes are allowed (but see Magic!)
Dual class and multi-class are strictly forbidden, except in the case of specific PRESTIGE CLASSES.

PC RACES

All basic PC races are allowed. 90% of the urban and sub-urban world is populated by humans who are by far the most common of the sentient races. Dwarves, elves, and half-orcs are all viewed with suspicion (and in some cases distaste) while halflings and gnomes are seen and treated as small children at best or as comedy relief at worst. Half-elves are treated with the most respect of all non-humans but probably experience the most racism by human-supremacists who consider them abominations or half breeds (but they are treated MUCH better than half-orcs!)

GENERATING CHARACTER STATISTICS

All PCs assign the following six stats to their characters however they like:
17, 15, 13, 11, 10, 9. Then add 3 points in any way you like (No stat may be increased above 18 in this way). After assigning your basic stats, apply any racial modifiers as normal.
Remember that stats can be increased with experience (the first increase is at level 4).
