Hobbies and Interests: Not on file - she is trained in the Romulan form of Judo and has written books on Romulan Battle strategies
Background: Little is known about this Romulan. She feels that her present situation is only temporary and a result of political forces conspiring against her. If it were a true punishment, they would have killed her or, even worse, taken her name way from her. What is known is mainly from her ‘official’ career:
2342
Entered Officers Command School, graduated top of class
2343
Assigned to Blood Talon as tactical officer, was very active in the Klingon-Romulan War
2344
Promoted to Lieutenant
2344
While assisting with a retalitory strike against a military, Klingon outpost near the Klingon planet Narendra, she saw her first Federation ship. It was the supposedly 'neutral' Enterprise-C. It attacked the Romulans and assisted the Klingon outpost. While the attack (lead by four new Warbirds) did achieve its goals, the resulting strengthening of the Federation and Klingon relationships hurt the Empire.
2345
Promoted to Ante-Centurion and made XO of Blood Talon
2346
While attacking Klingon planet Khitomer, the CO of Blood Talon was killed. t’Ashtar survived the battle and received the Romulan Medal of Honor for her efforts
2346
Promoted to Centurion and given command of Blood Talon
2347
Peace treaty with Klingon Empire signed, Blood Talon assigned to patrol border for Klingon clans not agreeing to treaty terms.
2347-2362
Destroyed many Klingon vessels entering Romulan space, promoted to Senior Centurion (’50), Sub-Commander (’55), and Commander (’62). Since many of these skirmishes are unofficial, not much it known during these years.
2362
According to Romulan records, Blood Talon was assigned to monitor Bajoran uprisings in Cardassia space.
2365
Return to Homeworld to pickup new chief medic, Ante-Centurion tr’Rheims and supplies. Return to Cardassian post.
2366
(official Romulan account) During a malfunction on board Blood Talon they temporarily lost cloak ability. After being fired upon by a Cardassian escort and transport ships, the Blood Talon destroys both ships, taking mainly Bajoran rebels as captives. Returned rebels to Bajor and ordered to return to Homeworld.
2366
Given command of new D’Deridex class ship, Nightwing. Ordered to patrol Federation border.
2367
Participate in Vulcan culture exchange. Senior Centurion tr’Rheims is sent to Vulcan medical university. A Vulcan medical doctor is given a post on Nightwing.
2368
Cultural exchange canceled, Sr. Centr. tr'Rheims returns
2371
Alliance made between the Tal-Shiar and the Obsidian Order of the Cardassian Union, one of the clauses calls for investigation into Blood Talon’s actions
2373
Commander t’Ashtar was called before the Judiciary committee regarding Blood Talon’s actions, tr’Rheims tells of his involvement and stands on trial with her
2373
Found guilty of disobeying orders and stealing property. The charges of murder are dropped. Both are stripped of rank and ordered to the penal colony Torin IX. They instead worked with the Vulcan ambassador to seek asylum within Federation space.
Her inital stay was on Vulcan. This proved 'difficult' and when she asked for relocation, Siencia Colony was selected to be her new home.
She married the High Commander's brother and was returned to her former position.
Personal information is not known.
The only other accounts of t'Ashtar are found in Cardassian and Bajorian records regarding the incident in 2366.
The Cardassian account has them using their cloak ability to destroy the escort vessel and capture the Cardassians and Bajorans on the transport ship. The Cardassian officers saw no other option and quickly committed suicide instead of allowing the Romulans to know more about their physiology. They report that the Romulans were performing live, biological tests on both races (Cardassians and Bajorans). To purposely harm the Union, they returned the Bajoran anarchists to Bajor.
The Bajorian account has the escort and transport ships firing when the Romulan ship became visible. The Cardassians were about to self-destruct the transport ship, when many of the Bajorans were transported to the Romulan ship. The Romulans gave them some type of gas to knock them out. They awoke later on Bajor and found that they were not only unharmed, but those who had injuries, were healed.
Personality Profile: Having been in the military her entire life, Stalla t’Ashtar believes in order above all else, especially if it is based on logic. She is not used to following orders (especially from non-Romulans) which can lead to her seeming rather bossy. Her prejudice of non-Romulan people can at times be apparent, but she is trying to work on it. She is completely convinced she is only on Siencia for a short time (hoping the matters that forced her to seek asylum will be resolved soon) and is looking at it as an opportunity to study the interaction of other life forms. She found the time she had the Vulcan from the exchange program on her ship very informative. She now has rejoined the RSE and her name changed to Stalla t'Siglorel.
