Overview:
    In May of 3023, the command staff of the 1st Volunteer ACR, in an attempt to give the 4th Air Cav Squadron more of a tactical presence on the battlefield, initiated a program to develop a variant of the H-7 Warrior Attack Helicopter that was more condusive to cavalry operations.
    The new variant called for the removal of the accurate, but underpowered Sarlon Autocannon, and replacing it with two TharHes LRM-5 pack systems, one SperryBrowning MG, and an additional ton of armor to make it more survivable. To compensate for the extra weight, a more powerful GM 110 turbine engine replaced the existing Omni 70. The resulting PRH-7 Warrior, though slightly heavier than the H-7, is a highly mobile platform that can project a respectable ammount of firepower.

Capabilities:
   The PRH-7 Warrior is designed to work in conjunction with the Ferret reconaissance VTOL during combat missions. Ideally, the Warrior will position its self within range of it's twin LRM-5 launchers to the target, but behind intervening terrain such as hills, ridge lines, or tree lines. It will then fire it's LRM's indirectly with the help of the Ferret pilot who is spotting from a safe distance. This minimizes exposure of both VTOLS to enemy fire.
   In addition to the LRM's, the PRH-7 retains the H-7's SRM-4 rack for close in self-defense. Finally, the chin-mounted SperryBrowning MG provides the PRH-7 with off-axis self defense against infantry and lightly armored vehicles.
   Interestingly enough, the most difficult obstacle in re-designing the Warrior was the landing gear. The removal of the AC/2 from the nose of the craft left it extremely tail-heavy. The re-arranging of various componants helped to stablize the flight performance, nevertheless the landing gear had to be totally re-engineered into a "tail dragger" configuration.
