Concussion Chaff Projector

   Concussion chaff is a strong, mega damage shockwave wall that is designed to be fired at missile volleys to detonate the active warheads. The theory behind it was to create something for the missiles to impact other than the mecha. It is just like shooting down missiles, but at a closer range. It was designed to be used in conjunction with rolling with missiles. If the roll attempt and the concussion strike were successful, then the mecha receives NO damage. If one of the two (roll or chaff) fails, then the mecha will still take half damage.

   Firing the chaff and rolling at the same time only counts as one attack. The chaff strike roll and the roll attempt both have to succeed for NO damage to be taken. The forearm projector may fire both as one attack even though they could be pointed in separate directions.

    Any mecha unit which can roll with missiles can have this system installed. It can even be mounted onto jets. The concussion blast can only be fired in one direction. So the side of the mecha that has it mounted, is the only side that can use the blast. There is also a smaller projector designed for the forarms of power armor and mecha. It's stats are also listed.

Mecha-mounted concussion projector

Diameter of effectivness (Size of directional concussion wall): 40ft (12.2 m). It does equal damage to everything within that diameter.
Rate of fire: Equal to the pilot's number of hand to hand combat attacks.
Effective Range: 40 ft (12.2 m)
Payload: Effectively unlimited
Special: This blast is so loud that it will deafen unprotected ears within 400 feet (122 m) for 1D4 minutes.
             Also, any non MD windows within 800 ft (244m) will be shattered
* There is a 90% chance of destroying the whole volley of missiles because each missile will take damage.
** If used for assault, then the "knock down" rules apply ith a +15% to be knocked down.

  Forearm-mounted concussion projector

  The forearm projector can be used more for assault since they can be pointed in any direction. If they are mounted onto both forearms, then they can be setup for a synchronized blast, inflicting damage from both.

Payload: Effectively unlimited
