The Holoworld Fleet (or HWF) is an interactive science-fiction role-play game based on the popular Star Trek television series. The game takes place a few decades after The Next Generation, Deep Space 9 and Voyager. The setting is a newly discovered section of space named the Cocoon, which extends into the Alpha Quadrant beyond the Bajoran system.

A player in the HWF takes on the role of a Starfleet officer on a starship or starbase in the Cocoon. You interact with other players, developing a story through posts in a manner similar to writing a novel... except this novel never ends. The posts are made to dedicated mailing lists.
