An army of animen stronger than our total combined strength; it was my worse dream. Tigon had that much power resting on his shoulders; he could retailiate at any time he wished. The thought was to much for me to bear. The reality would be even harder to grasp; who would be smart enough to fall for Tigon's trick. It's anyone's guess.
"I don't like the way this is turning out." I told them. "If he is able to do this, we won't be strong enough to beat him. There is also another problem: What would happen if Tigon used it on himself?"
"No one, not even the scientist, has ever thought of that possibility." Alpha answered. His answer seem to provoke old scars to surface.
"But why?"
"We told you nearly a hundred times!" a scientist argued. "The odds of your survival is slim if you take a second dose of the serum."
"Why?"
"You are too young to understand." a second scientist try to clear up. "The serum has at least four major horomones; your body isn't physically matured. Due to lack of this maturity, a second dose could rip your fagile body apart."
"Once you reach the age of 18, you may have a second dose but the risk is still there, but it's not as great by then."
"Then, I'll wait until I'm 18."
Ten years rolled by slowly...
"I guess you body is as physically mature as it could get. You've been lifting weigths since you were 12. If you want to take the serum you can. But the risk still remains."
"I know, I know. It could kill me. I don't need to be any stronger than I'm already. I don't want to take it. It's easier this way."
"Fine if you don't want it, baby brother, then I'll take it."
"No, Omega. You can't take it; you're already twice as strong as me. It'll rip you apart."
The big black tiger grabbed the vile and injected the serum into his left shoulder. He dropped the vile and he fell to the floor in pain. In a burst of anger, Omega ran into a wall. It broke apart and Omega disappeared into the storm.
"I can't believe that he would do it!" Alpha sobbed.
"Who?" I asked.
"My older brother, Omega. He took it one day and I never saw him again. He could be dead and I wouldn't know a thing about it."
"Well, we can't do much of anything now. We have to return to Clone-Earth. As soon as we get the rest of the team, we can start the search for Omega."
Everyone, including the new battle vehicals, were on the Lion's Paw as it took off. The course: to Clone-Earth. For some reason, Alpha remained very silent. He was probably worried about what is to come. What would Omega look like if he did manage to survive? Could he be long dead? I guess I could relate to that.
Thoughout majority of the journey, no one made much noice. It was the last hour before landing when everyone began to get nervous. It was a stop and go situation; there were checks every couple of minutes.
"Officer," I asked, "why is there so many check in this area?"
"Haven't you heard? Clone-Earth was attacked again. This time there are no survivors!"
"Oh, oh, no. We got to get down there! We might me lucky!"
"That's unlikely. The planet has been exposed to the reverse virus. If you go down there, you could be reverted to your ancesterial form."
It was over in a blink of an eye. They were probably ripping each other apart as we were returning to Clone-Earth. Even the planet looked like it was reverting to it's old form: volcanic. It was a bleak day indeed. This was as bad as when my friend told be that he had forgotten me and didn't want to be friends.
This time, the human race has gone too far in this war. It was time for us to... leave. Leave this demension and find one in which it would be easier to live. One in which me wouldn't be exterminated like pests.
