Hunters of Doom
Totem: Fenris

The Hunters of Doom formed in the Warders of the Earth Sept in upstate New York. This Sept, comprised mostly of Get of Fenris, Shadow Lords and Silver Fangs, was first visited by the Children of the Sun during the quest to collect the pieces of the Lens of Future Sight. Since then the Sept of Gaia's Strength has called on the Warders on occasion to marshal more warriors for especially dangerous battles.
During one such battle, the Sept of Gaia's Strength was nearly overrun by agents of the Wyrm, until Bite of Frost called on the Warders of the Earth for reinforcements. The Warders sent two packs: the Hunters of Doom and Fate's Hand to help protect the Sept of Gaia's Strength.  After the Wyrm forces were routed, these two packs remained to stave off subsequent attacks.  While Fate's Hand has moved on, it is doubtful the Hunters will leave.

Alpha:  Garth Avalanche of Blood Warmaker Fearsome Foe
           Homid Get of Fenris Ahroun
           Rank 4

"I don't like your tone.  Actually, I don't like your speaking to me at all!  Get out of my way, you've wasted enough time for me and yourself."

Garth is only the second Alpha of the Hunters of Doom, a pack that was formed four years ago. Garth took the mantle of leadership when the previous Alpha was killed in battle. Garth sees his role as two-fold. Within the pack, he is to train them to become great fighters and lead them to victories in the War on the Wyrm. Outside of the pack his duty is to make sure his pack is always on the front lines of the war, to shelter them from politics so they can focus on destroying enemies.
He respects strength and craftiness in battle and eschews talk and politicking. This may be part of the reason he hasn't taken his pack back to New York, as the Shadow Lord regime there is not particularly to his liking. Or it could simply be that he feels there are more battles to fight in Belleville.

Beta:   Arn Bane Spitter Knell of Doom Deathstorm
          Homid Get of Fenris Philodox
          Rank 3 Truthsayer

"We are remembered for our deeds, not our words."

Arn was with Garth when the Hunters of Doom were formed.  He has mourned the deaths of the original members of the pack with the same silence he has welcomed new members into it. Arn is equally quiet when passing judgment on Litany Law for the Hunters. This reserve and balance has been rewarded with the position of Truthcatcher in the Sept of Gaia's Strength. In battle, however, Arn is a screaming blur of violence, an image that prevents any of the other Hunters from trying to climb up the pecking order.
Arn's devotion to the Litany drove him to attempt the life of the metis child of Marta Twightlightskies.  This was a direct violation of the orders of the Elders, and has left Arn in a state of disgrace.  this incident has also deepened the divide between the Hunters of Doom and the Children of the Sun.

Gamma:  Greta Treepuller Resoundingstrike
              Homid Get of Fenris Galliard
              Rank 3

"I belong to the Tribe of Glory.  I will live up to that heritage."

Greta is the newest member of the Hunters, and currently the only female as well. She quickly rose out of the Omega position after a physical confrontation with Dirk. The other Hunters have learned to respect her strength even if she is inexperienced in battle.  The younger Black Fury pack in the Sept of Gaia's Strength made an attempt to subvert Greta from her pack and Tribe which she resisted completely.

Omega:  Dirk Warshout Darkskulker
             Homid Get of Fenris Ragabash
             Rank 2

"UGG!  Me smash!  Me slash!  Me bash!  There, is that what you were expecting?"

Dirk has been the motley fool of the Hunters since his first change.  While he's never really shaped up into the war machine image Garth has for his packmates, he has been able to add some more subtle skills to the Hunters.  He lost his chance to move up the pecking order when he lost a challenge for dominance to Greta shortly after her arrival.  This appears to suit Dirk well enough; it allows him to get lost in the shuffle and cause his own trouble.
