The following rosters list all past holders of each AWI championship. These rosters date back to the official creation of the AWI titles from their AWE and UWA counterparts at the Union I PPV. Footnotes are included beneath each roster, explaining championship changes that are not direct or uncontested.

AWI World Heavyweight Champion

1 The AWE World Championship was unified with the UWA World Championship at Union I.
2 Danny Boy McGill replaced Deric Alaffia James, who could not wrestle due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. The match was restarted by the referee after interference by Imperious's bodyguard, Jules Figir.
3 John Robertson vacated the title with extant contracts to fight Ken Mischief and Greg Gardner for the title. This match was held between those two men to determine the new champion.

1 The AWE American States Title was unified with the UWA North American Title at Union I.
2 Kerry Masters challenged Greg Gardner to put the title up immediately following a defense against Jack Fury; Gardner accepted Masters challenge and was defeated. On the same night, Masters lost a scheduled match with Justice.
3 Gary White replaced Kerry Masters, who could not wrestle due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
4 Jack Fury was ruled the winner in a "Gold Medal Submission Match" after the referee ruled Gary White unable to continue. Gary White contested the title change on the grounds that he did not actually submit, and this two-of-three falls match was sanctioned to settle the issue.

1 The AWE Television Title was unified with the UWA Television Title at Union I.
2 Reverend Jeremiah James deliberately forfeited this open contract match, claiming the belt as a "gift" to Toshiaki Hasegawa. The AWI Championship Committee chose to let the transfer stand, and recognized Hasegawa as the new Television Champion.

1 The AWE Light Heavyweight Championship was resanctioned as the AWI Light Heavyweight Championship concurrent with this match at Union I.
2 Mist Angel received a title shot by executive decision after John Robertson and Danny Boy McGill fought a no-contest match due to interference by Dan Lea and Rooks Enterprises.
3 Mississippi Kid retained the championship until 6-30-98, when the AWI Competition Committee rendered the title inactive.

1 AWE World Tag Team champions Broadsword were stripped of their titles one week prior to Union I due to contract violations. The Super Titans (then AWE American States Tag Team champions) abandoned their AWE titles for the chance to face Megaton in this title unification bout.
2 This was a "square dance" featuring the Power Tools and the Honor Guard, with the stipulation that if Megaton was the last team eliminated, the titles changed hands.

1 The AWE American States Tag Team Championship was resanctioned as the AWI North American Tag Team Championship, with the first contender of each league facing each other.
2 Murray Fremantle of the Crusaders pinned both members of Intensive Care in an "11th Hour" match at Knock Around the Clock '95, with the stipulation that the titles would "float" as wrestlers were eliminated.
3 The Crusaders left the AWI due to a contractual dispute, and a match was mandated between the first contenders to determine a new set of champions. The Power Tools were disqualified in this match.
4 The Power Tools left the AWI due to a contractual dispute. Interim Commissioner Stan Jurgens mandated a "Walk Away Happy" match between the first contenders to determine a new set of champions.
5 Perfection was stripped of the titles for failure to defend them within a reasonable amount of time; this team of "Tank" Bradley and Toshiaki Hasegawa won the final round of the resulting tournament.

1 This was a "Triple Tower" elimination match which included the entire women's division; Tiger Z pinned Perkins as the final contestant to win the title.

2 Sarah Victory vacated the title to seek employment elsewhere; this "Danse Macabre" 16-woman elimination tourney was held to choose a successor. Tiger Z defeated Brenda Storm in the finale.

AWI Women's Tag Team Championship

The team of "Firestorm" (Angela Dante & Brenda Storm) won this title in a tournament (3-12-97, Philadelphia, PA) to establish the belt, defeating the pair of Kelly Tucker and "Spitfire" Jenny Peters; they remained champions from that time to 6-30-98, when the titles were rendered inactive by the AWI Competition Committee.
