Vaxxons are a humanoid species from the planet Vaxon, in the Yxvar star system. They have reddish-brown skin that is scaly in appearance but dry to the touch (much like a reptile's skin). They have a protruding ridge around their foreheads. It extends slightly from the skull, is parallel to the ground, and encircles the entire head just above their eyes. They also have absloutely no hair, including eyebrows and hair on their arms or legs.
They are a deeply religious people, believing in a supreme Creator who continues to rule the universe. And now after First Contact with the Terrans, many are converting to the earth religion of Christianity, believing Christians worship the same God they do.
They are also a very advanced culture, developing means of space travel as well as very powerful planet-side instruments for studying space around the first century A.D. (Earth calendar). They invented Hyperdrive as well as quite a few other technologically sophisticated systems they have shared with earth.
After first contact, an alliance quickly formed, and they have sworn to defend each other against a common enemy -- the Xurians.
