Name: Keno

TMNT Universe: Film-TMNT #2

Age: 17 Friend or foe?: Friend

The Meeting: Keno was just an ordinary pizza delivery boy - admittedly with a talent for martial arts - until he happened upon a a gang of thieves stealing from a mall. When he predictably went to perform a citizens arrest, he found himself in over his head, and not even his ninjitsu could help. He was about to end up in hospital, when suddenly four green teenagers lept to his rescue, defeated the thieves, and faded into the night. After finding the pizzas he was delivering, and had abandoned nearby, had also faded into the night, Keno realised the strangers must live at one of the apartments on his route, and went there later complete with pizza. The woman living there seemed uneasy, but he insisted he enter, and discovered the four strangers hiding there were mutated turtles. He fainted. On coming round, he heard the TMNTs' history, and quickly became their ali.

History: Keno is of Korean origin, but grew up in New York. His had a great passion for martial arts when young, and at the age of eight, was allowed to go for lessons, where it was discovered he had a great talent. However, his lack of patience and quick temper prevented him from becoming a brilliant pupil, and frustrated, he stopped attending lessons, and tsaught himself instead.
His family life was comparatively normal, with two parents, and an older sister.

Comments: Keno was not seen in TMNT #3, but probably continued learning meditation and patience from Splinter, for the sensei seemingly managed to tame Raphael and could do the same for Keno.

Last Month's Character

Name: Irma

TMNT Universe: Cartoon

Age: 29 Friend or foe?: Friend

The Meeting: Irma, although a close friend and colleague of April’s, discovered the existence of the turtles like everyone else; through the media. Realising April knew them, she clamoured to meet them, especially as they were cute guys, something she always longed for. However, Irma wasn’t actually introduced until April was kidnapped in the middle of her broadcast by the Rat-King. Worried, about her friend, Irma searched April’s dressing-room, found a hand-held communicator, and naturally used it. To her surprise, a turtle answered. The tmnt agreed to meet her to help look for April, and since then, Irma has become a firm friend with the turtles.

History: Irma moved from Canada with her family to New York when she was a child. As a teenager, she still retained her childhood naivety and shyness, yet lost much of her self-confidence. After schooling, and a few temporary jobs, Irma finally found a placing a TV station; Channel Six. It was here that she became friends with April O’Neil, who helped support her when Irma’s mother and father died.

Comments: Irma has been searching for a stable partner for years, but unfortunately seems to be attracted to the wrong type. Although she is intelligent, she wastes much of her time longing for a husband, and so forsakes any mobility in her employment. This seems to be due to a fear of being alone, and is a result of her leaving an old boyfriend just before their wedding after realsies he was wrong for her.
