Over the last two weeks the Spandex Militia have been making a bid for top-dogs in the area. They have been talking tough, and with their appointment as watchwomen, talking about 'ridding the hive of the genestealer pestilence'. In particular they intend to destroy the outlaw gang The Darkness of Light. Well this reporter has got the inside story: received yesterday by courier, the story is written by the leader of TDOL, Gabrielle. Make of it what you will:
"Before relating to you my first hand experience of victimisation, I have a word of warning. Don't get too good at anything, because when you do The Watchmen see you as a threat and you have an accident or if you survive it you are outlawed and persecuted. If you're really good outlawing is not enough and they have to turn you into demons as well. We're being persecuted relentlessly but we'll survive and clear our name. Yesterday was a good example of right winning over wrong.
One of my team St Joanne was captured when we were recently ambushed by overwhelming numbers. I got news that the Spandex Militia had been tasked to take her to a secure facility. I took that to be a sign and grabbed as many of my guys as possible to mount a rescue attempt. It worked: a lightning dash to free Joanne covered by smoke and a hail of fire. The Militia received rapid reinforcements so we bugged out as soon a Joanne was free, in the process we grabbed one of their gang; Morticia.
We managed to find a place to hole-up. Initially Morticia was not at all keen to be with us but once we'd told her the truth she was a little more comfortable; she was beginning to realise there was always two sides to every story. It was at that point that the Spandex Militia appeared out of a vent, literally meters away to try and recover Morticia. It looked pretty serious to start with but Angel and Blade fought well and blocked access to Morticia. Blade also managed to drop a couple of grenades on a large group of them. That took the boldness out of them. By this time Joanne had reinforced Blade and Angel, I was covering things with smoke but St John had been shot in the back and was down as far as I could see. We stood our ground taking-out at least half there number and then they ran, leaving behind the body of their leader Milicia.
We were grateful that for once right prevailed. Morticia even saw how unjustly we have been treated and offered to join our group. We gratefully accepted her offer. I'll continue to send these reports so you can see the other side of the story."
