Starfleet Ranking System

Below, you will find the Starfleet ranking system and the promotion guidelines for the SSD. Overall, the promotion system corresponds to the length of your active service within the SSD. Even so, a commanding officer may promote you on merit or accomplishment. For more information on promotion, please send an e-mail to: rank@starfleet.8m.com. Flag Officer Ranks:

FADM- A minimum of 1 year as an Admiral, Vice Admiral, Rear Admiral, Commodore or Fleet Captain, and can only be promoted by the Director of the SSD.

ADM, VADM, RADM, Commodore, Fleet Captain - Can only be promoted to Admiralty, by an ADM's Board. Must pass Flag Officer's Exam

 

Officer Ranks:

Captain- Promoted by the Director of the SSD. Must pass Line Officer's Exam

Commander- 4 months as LTCMDR.

LTCMDR- 3 months as LT.

Lieutenant- 2 months as LTjg.

LTjg- 1 month as Ensign

Ensign- Must pass Officer's Exam

 

Enlisted Ranks:

Midshipman 1st Class- 1 month as Midshipman

Midshipman- Must pass Midshipman's Exam

CPO-  Can only be promoted by the Director of the SSD

Crewman 1st Class- Can only be promoted by the Director of the SSD

Crewman- Everyone starts at this rank
