We had a social gathering at the Granite Brewery on thursday night.
At first when I arrived I thought "Where are all the lexxians?" because everyone looked
so normal. We were supposed to be disguised or wearing a costume of some sort, which
only I, Necro and Shallah did. Then it dawned on me that everyone was a lexxian and
I realised how many we are! Awesome!
As usual, if you recognise anyone in this picture, e-mail me!

During the social we got to sign t-shirts for Brian and Michael and Xenia.
I think it's a nice idea that they too will have some memories of us, not just
the other way around. The idea was originally Necro's I think, but several people
had brought t-shirts to be given away.

Parasite, Necro and AwesomeAud talking...

The mysterious dark lady Uma Vermil...

Just for fun we were supposed to have "fake" nametags, instead of wearing our real nicks.
In this picture Mort and Zith are trying to get away as "Naive" and "Innocent". While Zith
does a pretty good impression of being naive, Mort is not fooling anyone that she really is innocent.
(Mort tells me that she didn't do that look on purpose, she is just trying to look natural... Well, Mort,
I guess that is your natural self caught on picture then!)

There were a lot of nice people at the Granites. In this picture we have Swoop-log, his sister Tree,
and Lexx chronicler Valdron.
|
|
|
After the Granite we went to the Shoe (we practically lived there every night).
After a while Jeffrey Hirschfield showed up and was immediately surrounded by fans, someone even got him a rose...
But I wonder why the majority of those people are women?

Jeff was really nice, and started to sign autographs.
Luckily Vyxen (in the centre of the picture) had a notepad so everybody got one, including me.
Thanks Vyxen, I owe you one!!!

Jeff was really funny. Every autograph read "May you have great head in your life" or something similar.
(Apart from being one of the writers Jeff also plays the lovesick robothead 790.) Some fans even got to pet the head...
|
|
|
...or lick it... (What long tongue you have Jinx!) |
|
|
Yep, that's me kissing Jeffrey Hirschfield's head. With all the womens' lib and stuff
I couldn't let a bunch of girls get the better of me... *grin*

The next day (friday) I went out partying during the afternoon with Gloria, Necro and Shallah...
That was a big mistake because the booze, jet-lag and heat combined made me so tired I went to my room
for a quick nap afterwards. Of course I slept all friday evening so I missed the art fair at the Breakers,
which is very sad because both Lex Gigeroff (the other writer), Brian Downey (who plays Stan) and Xenia Seeberg
(who plays Xev) came by to see all the Lexx inspired things people had made... Bohooo!!!

Come saturday... the day for the Studio Tour!!! When I got down from my room I spotted a baby cluster lizard
(a stuffed pet of course) lying on the floor outside the reception. When I picked it up (since it had to belong
to someone going to the tour) the scared receptionist asked "Isn't it real?".
|
|
|
Just outside we met Astartae who came running back to look for her pet. Here the baby is
reunited with his happy mother and AwesomeAud.
|
|
|
However, as Valdron later found out, baby cluster lizards are not entirely harmless, even when stuffed...
