She is the last news from the Marvel to the Spider-Man's fans.

SECTION: EXPLANATION!

The Marvel Comics is launching, starting in this August, a new comics magazines group, using an interesting concept: "we all get a chance to see what the future may hold for some of our favorite Marvel characters!"

Then, they create a whole new universe called MC2 - Marvel Comics 2 -, exploring the future and showing new characters, like:

This page is dedicated to her, saying "Welcome, Spider-Girl!" and wishing her lots of success, as his father was accostumed to have.

If the Spider-Man's stories were always very good, imagine the stories with this pretty lady called Spider-Girl!

Spider-Girl # 0, from August, 1998

SG#0 Find out as May Parker, the daughter of Peter and Mary Jane Parker, stumbles upon her father’s former web-slinging secret identity — and enters into a universe of adventure!

Peter thought the legend of Spider-Man ended with his final, tragic battle with Norman Osborn, but when a new Green Goblin (who’s really Norman’s grandson all grown up) strikes, it’s time for Spider-Man to go to action! But since Peter is now retired, it’s up to his daughter — the scintilating Spider-Girl — to continue the family tradition!

Spider-Girl # 1, from August, 1998

May "Mayday" Parker has a problem. Not only did she recently learn that her father was the original Spider-Man, but her own arachnid-based powers have begun to emerge. May should decide in continuing the family "business" or concentrate on high school. Peter and Mary Jane have made their feelings clear, but May's a teenager with a mind of her own!

What make matters worse is that she is her dad's only hope when Pete is targeted by the all-new super-villain named Mr. Nobody-a gun-toting teleporter who reports to a certain portly (and familiar) crime boss!

Spider-Girl #2, from September, 1998

MC2 Brings on The Bad Guys: enter Darkdevil and Crazy Eight! Facing her first defeat as a super hero, Spidergirl is forced to flee Crazy Eight, a villain who's just as vicious as his name implies! Darkdevil is a mysterious creature of the night related to the regular Marvel Universe (and allegedly dead) Daredevil.

Barely escaping with her life, May "Mayday" Parker begins to question her ability to wear her father's webs and feels that her career will be over before it's even begun.

Asside from having to evade Phil Urich's questions about her dual identity, Mayday also learns that one of her classmates is planning to ask her out on a first date!

Last Days

Mayday learns "The Last Days of Spider-Man!" Mary Jane Parker has kept silent ever since Peter and May first began arguing about the existence of Spider-Girl. Now the silence ends as Mary Jane finally chooses a side! What happened the night Peter lost his leg and quit being Spider-Man? At long last, May learns why her famous father hung up the legendary webs!

Besides, Darkdevil returns and pits Spider-Girl against the man called Nova!

Our young heroine finally meets her namesake, Aunt May, and runs across such familiar faces as Flash Thompson, Liz Allen, J. Jonah Jameson, Betty Brant, and, of course, Spider-Man!
