The Amazing Spider-Man # 27

In the aftermath of the Green Goblin saga, Peter Parker wondered if was Spider-Man just a burden on all those he cares for.

And when Spidey tried something as simple as rescuing a cat stuck in a tree, assassins moved in for the kill of the cat, called Mr. Mittens, that was an A.I.M. genetically developed animal. Spider-Man was caught in the middle of the gunfire, and had to use all his abilities to get rid of the assassins.

At the end, the cat followed Peter until home, looking like it intended to become his pet.

PPSM#27 Banking machines, traffic lights and everything else electrical was going haywire in NYC! So a well known face appeared atop a skyscraper in Times Square, with a message for Spider-Man.

And when the web-slinger battled his way to the nerve center of a spooky building, the horrifying truth it uncovered brought a creepy feeling. Smythe, the Robot Master is back.
