Well, many a face do I have, and well, one is the face of the poet. Many people have asked me to put some of my work on the Web, so I have.

Daydream Walk

A blue bird flys through the dawn,
I watch it, and stiffle a yawn
It is early this January morning
I slowly put on my shoes, and tightening
the lace, I tie them up, and walk
I walk to the place where all the people talk
but I don't stop there,
that wouldn't be fair
I walk past the towns, and cities
patting all the dogs, and scratching all the kitties
I walk toward my favorite place on the globe
where sunlight flashes like a strobe
where is this elusive place that I must walk to get to
Nowhere else but Pennsylvania, where my heart is always true
But it is not the cities to which I walk
And I would not walk this far just to talk
I walk this far to releave my soul
and visit the place where chipmunks and squirrels roll
I walk to the forests of Pennsylvania dear
I walk to the forests for which my heart is near
I talk to the forest, and it talks back
I ask the forest what it could possibly lack
But then when I hear the blood curdling scream
I snap awake realizing it was only a dream

Cupid's Broken Arrow

Cupid found a young man you see,
who had a crush on a girl named Katie
she ignored him, for he was a peasant
even if he was extremely pleasant
So the boy called for Cupid,
and dreamed of Katie being struck stupid,
with love for him,
and creating his greatest whim
To be with her and be her lover
so he begged for Cupid to shoot her
So Cupid pulled back his bow
strung an arrow, and stood by a row
of red roses that Katie walked by
He released his arrow with a cry
the arrow flew straight to the girl
she heard the cry, and turned with a whirl
the arrow shot by in that fateful moment
it clacked against a tree, it's momentum spent
she saw the strange man with the quiver of arrows
and she shook from her hair to her toes
then she saw the peasant boy lurking near
and she stumbled back out of fear
the boy was shocked at this surprise
could all the stories have been lies
Cupid never misses your true love for you
could it be she wasn't his, and his heart turned blue
He stalked toward the girl bent on his task,
his face turned to an evil mask
the girl cried out for fear of this fellow
she saw a flash of a brilliant yellow
it came from the hair of her personal guard
he was a startling man, son of Hugo, the bard.
he dealt with the boy double quick,
the girl was still backing and tripped over a stick
she fell on the arrant arrow of love
and felt her heart fly away like the innocent dove
The guard helped her up, to her great pleasure,
and she saw in his eyes, she was HIS treasure.
And Cupid smiled as he always did,
he hit once again, job finished, he hid.

Choosy

Free are birds, free are stars,
you cannot put them behind bars.
Do not try, they will fly away,
and laugh at you for many a day.
They are things you cannot capture
but they are things that can surely enrapture
There is another thing that is included.
Something that hides, and tries to stay secluded.
Now what could I be speaking of,
why, nothing more than fickle love

Demise

Love floats from me to you
free unlike animals at a zoo.
love glides from side to side
trying to by you, slide
But this time you are too quick
you step in it's way, and cage it with a click
the love withers and dies
love can not be caged, and you become wise

Lord of the Dale

There once was a man from the Dale of Lauder Fort.
Who was looking for a young lady to court.
He searched all the rivers, mountains, and plains.
But always seemed to be left in the rains.
He searched all the country side as far as his will would take him
But his hopes never got any brighter than dim.
So finally he gave up his fruitless chase, and strode home
He had resigned himself to being all alone.
But still there is hope, in this wearisome place
Could he be looking for the glow surrounding your face?

Yes, I have written all these poems, me and no-one else. It's a hobby of mine, and I hope to add more of my works, as they are created.
